I was born and raised in Mississauga, and spent many summers enjoying Wasaga Beach.  Moving to Collingwood in 2008 where I met my wife Ellen Rice, we decided that we wanted to start our family in Wasaga Beach, and moved to our home on 58th Street shortly thereafter.

Living here has been wonderful, I am doing things and participating in activities that I never would have imagined.  I learned to downhill ski at the age of 32 (it took some coaxing from my wife, but with her patience, I am now no longer a neophyte skiier), I am a member of the Blueridge Sportsman Club and enjoy attending the odd sporting clay event, and as well, we are within walking distance to beautiful Georgian Bay!

We have 2 beautiful children who have quickly adopted the "beach lifestyle".  We spend many days enjoying the activities of Wasaga Beach.  We enjoy spending time walking the local trails, building sand castles on the beach, swimming in the bay and flying our kites.  Enjoying the Splash Pad at Beach Area 1 has also quickly become a favourite for our daughter, Addison.  Our son Maxwell is still quite young but I am sure will also come to appreciate all that the area has to offer in the coming years.

I began working in Property Management back in 2006 in the Toronto area, and when I moved to Collingwood in 2008, I quickly moved my career to Pro Guard Property Management.  I have been managing properties in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach since 2008.  Property Management is much like running a small town in that there are budgets to prepare and oversee, seasonal maintenance contracts that require drafting, implementation and supervision, as well as overseeing large restoration and improvement projects.  Further I work closely with local municipal fire departments to ensure the fire regulations are maintained and to code, as well as working with the local Building and Planning departments to ensure compliance with municipal and provincial building code requirements.  My position also requires that I meet with directors of condominiums and oversee and implement the decisions and by-laws and rules created by the directors make on behalf of the condominum.

In my role as Property Manager, another key aspect is ensuring that all residents are treated equally and fairly.  Managing condominiums requires constant communication with owners and tenants, this communication includes regular newsletters, update letters on activities and reporting on the annual financial statements.  Working as a Property Manager it is imperative that we are transparent on all actions we take including all projects we propose, tender and implement.
